The Men's Retreat
We will be heading to Pine Lake October 15th, and staying through the 18th. Pine Lake offers fishing, hunting, hiking, and photography opportunities just outside the front door, and for those looking to go canoeing or golfing there are a variety of options within a short drive. Each morning on the retreat we begin with breakfast together, and a time of prayer. From there we head different directions for the day, and then reconvene at night for dinner and Bible study. Sunday morning we will worship together by the lake before packing for home.
Lodging: We will be staying in 3 bedroom cabins at Pine Lake Villa. The cost is very affordable. You can rent a room for $30/per night, or share a room for $15. The cabins are rustic, clean and functional.
Food: Each participant chips in for the cost of Breakfast & Lunch, and brings/cooks dinner one night.

Three New Types of Small Groups!
Sermon-Based Small Groups: This Fall, each Sunday morning sermon will be accompanied by a handout that includes 'Bonus Material;' stuff that went into the sermon's preparation but ended up on the cutting room floor. This single-page handout will include things such as Scripture cross-references, quotes from authors, and reflection questions. During the week, the sermon-based small groups will meet to go deeper into the scriptures and share what they learned, both on Sunday morning and beyond. Currently we have to group meeting times/places. One group will meet at 8:30 pm on Thursday each week at the home of Charlie and Star Fritsche. The other group will meet at the home of Todd and Stacey Brugh on Saturday evenings at 6:30 pm.
Cost of Discipleship Book Study: Dietrich Bonhoeffer was a German pastor and teacher during the 1930's, and wrote an influential book called "The Cost of Discipleship." The participants in this group will read 20-30 pages per week, and gather together to discuss what they have read. This group will meet at 7 o’clock Wednesday evenings at the home of Gary Haga.
Alpha: This small group explores the basics of the Christian faith, and is a great place to search for answers to life's most basic questions, such as: Does God exist? What does it mean to have 'faith?' How do I read the Bible? This class is also the starting point for those who are looking to become members at Holy Trinity. (Day & Time: TBA)

Christmas Eve
Join us for Christmas Eve, December 24th @ 7pm in the Baseline Middle School Cafetorium. A special procession for the children will begin the service, and each child will have the opportunity to place a figure around the manger. Come celebrate the coming of Christ!

Small Group Sign Up
The winter session of small group ministries will begin January 10th. Descriptions of each of the small groups, and a sign-up sheet are on the back table. The winter session runs 11 weeks, and ends prior to Spring Break & Holy Week.
It's Winter in Michigan!
Just a reminder, that if you wake up on a Sunday morning and are wondering whether or not we are having church there are two ways to find out:
1) If services are cancelled, you will receive an
email, or
2) you can check the ticker along the bottom of
Channel 8 News.
If church is cancelled, enjoy spending some quiet time (either as an individual or as a family) with God through scripture reading and prayer.
If services are not cancelled, but you feel uncomfortable heading out, please don't risk it.
Ash Wednesday
On Wednesday, February 17th services for Ash Wednesday will be held at Filbrandt’s Family Funeral home at 6:00 am and 8:00 am. We are very grateful to Jeff Filbrandt for his gracious offer to use this space.
